A Lakeside Weekend Wedding Celebration

September 10, 2021: Partial Planning: Kristin and Matt’s wedding in Longville, MN was a spectacular weekend-long celebration. Kristin grew up attending Camp Olsen with her family only to continue to attend as a camp counselor and finally for her very own wedding. Kristin and Matt brought me in as a Partial Planner to help find vendors right for them and to tie all of the exciting details and logistics together. Kristin and Matt, complete with their family and friends, didn’t want to celebrate for just one day; they wanted an entire weekend with their loved ones! From horseback riding to welcome bonfires to swimming in the lake, family and friends enjoyed a “Kristin and Matt” style weekend!

The camp created the perfect backdrop for Kristin and Matt’s wedding. We hired a string quartet (Boom Island Strings) to serenade guests as they made their way to the ceremony site. Once seated, guests had a beautiful view of the lake from high up on a bluff. The ceremony was full of personal touches from the unity ceremony to the readings that were chosen. After the ceremony, we made time for an outdoor cocktail hour with passed hors d'oeuvres and an outdoor bar. When it came time for the first dance, we led guests to an area with a low platform and Boom Island Strings played live as Kristin and Matt danced. There was so much joy! The evening continued on and the weekend was only complete after a morning breakfast and list of activities for the remainder of the weekend!
