We searched for the perfect venue for months. This can be one of the most fun but also time consuming pieces of planning any destination wedding. The location, surrounding town, travel logistics and space in general has to be the perfect fit. We started our search with around 100 venues in the Georgia, South Carolina and Florida areas and narrowed it down from there. We virtually toured around 15 venues and finally went in person to see the incredible Oyster Bay yacht Club on Amelia Island in Fernandina Beach, Florida. It felt like home to Catherine and Jordan who instantly felt a connection to the staff, location and town. From there we spent time planning and designing a day that felt like home away from home on this island. I cannot say enough about the staff the people and the other vendors who contributed to making this day memorable, unique, relaxing and all around fun!
